JOHN T. KURTZWEIL
John Kurtzweil has decades of experience in the semiconductor and networking industries. He has more than 20 years as CFO for publicly traded companies.
Mr. Kurtzweil is an independent consultant to technology firms. He has held senior financial positions in a number of technology infrastructure companies, including Akoustis, Cirrus Logic, Cree, Inc. (now Wolfspeed), and Extreme Networks. Mr. Kurtzweil has been a key player in financings of over $2 billion, plus several mergers and acquisitions.
BENJAMIN PATZ
Benjamin Patz is a venture capitalist, board member for technology companies, entrepreneur, and technologist.
Mr. Patz has made his career developing entrepreneur-led technology companies in aerospace, systems engineering, information technology, and electronic systems. He is currently Managing Partner at DeepWork Capital, focused on early-stage technology investment in Florida. He has a diverse engineering background with particular interest in artificial intelligence and data analytics.
FRANK PLASTINA
Frank Plastina is the Founder and President of Arc&Company, an angel investment firm that also provides advisory services to C-level executives. Most recently, he was the CEO of Wolfspeed (formerly Cree Power and RF division). He has also served as the CEO of two NASDAQ-listed companies and prior to his current role served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2017 to 2022.
Mr. Plastina served as the President and CEO of Tekelec, a telecommunications software company, from February 2006 to January 2011. At Tekelec, he led the company’s international growth efforts into more than 40 countries. Mr. Plastina has complemented this operating experience with roles at Warburg Pincus, a leading New-York-based private equity firm, and the Toronto office of PWC.
DAVID SANCHEZ
David Sanchez brings decades of experience in omni channel (brick and mortar and ecommerce) retail operations, sales, and strategic planning to his new role as board member. He has helped multi-unit enterprises with thousands of stores from big box brands to large grocery chains develop profitable and successful operations, training programs and sales strategies nationwide.
More importantly, he has a deep understanding and expertise in consumer behavior and the ability to draw them into stores to maximize merchandising and in-store purchases. His guidance will enhance NovaCHARGE’s ability to deliver measurable ROI in EV charging solutions.
Mr. Sanchez has also been active and continuously recognized in the nonprofit sector as a board member for several organizations. He currently serves as the President of For the Children, Inc., an Austin-based nonprofit providing school supplies for 25,000 to 50,000 needy children throughout Central Texas each year.
